1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using pasteAnything ("the Service", "we", "us", "our"), you ("User", "you", "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Service.

If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of a company or legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind such entity to these Terms.

2. Definitions

• "Service" means the pasteAnything API and related services
• "API Key" means the authentication credential provided to access the Service
• "Content" means data, text, images, or files submitted through the Service
• "Account" means your registered user account

3. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to:

• Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws
• Keep your API Key confidential and secure
• Not share, sell, or transfer your API Key to third parties
• Immediately notify us if your API Key is compromised
• Ensure you have rights to all Content you submit
• Not submit Content containing malware, viruses, or harmful code

You agree NOT to:

• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or security measures
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Use the Service to process illegal, harmful, or infringing Content
• Engage in activities that could damage, disable, or impair the Service
• Use automated means to access the Service except through the documented API
• Resell or redistribute the Service without written authorization
• Submit Content containing personal data of third parties without proper consent

4. API Usage & Rate Limits

Your Account is subject to usage limits based on your subscription tier. These limits include:

• Maximum requests per month
• Rate limiting (requests per second/minute)
• Maximum payload size

Exceeding these limits may result in request throttling, temporary suspension, or additional charges. We reserve the right to modify rate limits with 30 days' notice.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

Our IP: The Service, including all software, algorithms, UI/UX, documentation, and trademarks, is owned by pasteAnything and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights.

Your Content: You retain all rights to Content you submit. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your Content solely to provide the Service. We do not claim ownership of your Content.

Extracted Data: Results generated by the Service are provided to you under these Terms. You are responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws when using extracted data.

6. Data Processing & Privacy

API request payloads are processed in-memory and immediately discarded. We do not store your Content or extracted results. By submitting Content, you represent and warrant that:

• You have all necessary rights and permissions to submit the Content
• The Content does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws
• You have obtained all required consents for processing personal data (if applicable)

7. Payment & Billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as explicitly stated in these Terms.

We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing cycle.

8. Service Level & Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

• Scheduled maintenance (with advance notice when possible)
• Emergency maintenance or security updates
• Third-party service disruptions
• Force majeure events

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
• Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of AI-extracted data
• Uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free operation
• Results obtained from using the Service

You are solely responsible for validating extracted results before use in production systems. AI-generated outputs may contain errors or inaccuracies.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL PASTEANYTHING, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
• Service interruptions or data loss
• Errors or inaccuracies in AI-extracted data
• Third-party actions or content

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100 USD, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability for certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless pasteAnything and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Content you submit to the Service
• Your breach of applicable laws or regulations

12. Termination & Suspension

By You:

You may terminate your Account at any time by contacting hi@paste-anything.com. Termination does not entitle you to a refund.

By Us:

We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, without notice, if:

• You violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy
• Your Account is used for fraudulent or illegal activities
• You fail to pay applicable fees
• We are required to do so by law
• Continued provision would create security or legal risks

Upon termination, your API Key will be revoked and you will lose access to the Service. We will delete your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

13. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service and may terminate your Account.

14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [YOUR JURISDICTION], without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in [YOUR JURISDICTION].

For EU users: Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under EU consumer protection laws.

15. Dispute Resolution

Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at hi@paste-anything.com to attempt informal resolution. We will work in good faith to resolve disputes within 30 days.

If informal resolution fails, disputes may be resolved through binding arbitration or small claims court, at your option (where permitted by law).

16. Export Compliance

You agree to comply with all applicable export and import laws and regulations. You may not use the Service if you are located in, or a national of, any country subject to trade sanctions or embargoes.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and pasteAnything regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
